1. Download Kali Linux
Head over to the official website kali.org and click on downloads. Scroll down to Live Boot and download the appropriate version of Kali Linux depending on your PC’s specifications (32-bit or 64-bit). The file size is approximately 3.88 GB.
2. Download Rufus
To create a bootable USB drive, download Rufus from rufus.ie/en. We are using the portable version.
3. Make a Bootable USB
Insert a USB drive and make sure to back up all the files on it as the USB will be formatted during the process. Open Rufus and select the USB drive under the “Device” section. Under “Boot Selection,” select the Kali Linux ISO image that you downloaded earlier. Click “Start” to begin the process, which may take some time.
4. Boot from the USB Drive
After making the bootable USB, restart your computer and go to the boot options. Press F10 or F12, depending on your PC, to access the boot options screen. Choose the USB drive to boot from.
